Grigoris Theodorakis is a graduate of the Mathematics Department of the University of Athens and holds a master's degree in "Educational Technology and Human Resource Development" from the same University.
He graduated from the National School of Public Administration and Local Administration. He has served in the Directorate of Local Administration and Decentralization, as well as in the Administration Directorate. As Head he served in the Department of Financial Management of Investment Programs of the Regional Development Fund of Attica and as Head of Directorate in the Directorates of National Endowments and Foreigners and Immigration.
In February 2015, he was seconded to the General Secretariat of the Prime Minister and assumed the duties of Head of the Administration and Organization Office. From December 2016 to July 2019, he served as Secretary General of the Ministry for Administrative Reconstruction.
During the same period, he was the President of the Monitoring Committee of the "Public Sector Reform" Operational Program (2017 – 2019) and was the Head of the technical committees in the negotiations with the institutions on Public Administration issues (2017 – 2019).
From July 2019 until today, he is an associate of the president of SYRIZA Progressive Alliance Alexis Tsipras.
