Operations Manager Landfill-gas Power Stations North Greece

Christos Chasapopoulos has a career of more than 14 years in waste management, landfill gas and electricity generation sector. He is Operations Manager of the two Landfill-Gas Power Plants of HELECTOR SA, member of ELLAKTOR Group of Companies, in Thessaloniki region (Tagarades and Mavrorachi landfill), with total installed capacity of 8,5 MWel. During the course of his career, he has been involved in leading roles for the design, engineering, licensing, construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance of the LFG power plants as well as the corresponding extended biogas collection and supply pipelines. Furthermore, he has been occupied in other environmental and energy projects of the company, including BEAL SA with installed capacity of 23 MWel, one of the biggest LFG power plants in Europe, operating in Ano Liosia Landfill, Athens. He has studied Mechanical Engineering at National Technical University of Athens, and holds a M.Sc. degree in Energy Generation and Management.
