Ioannis Chatzitheodosiou was born in 1963 in Babalio Valtos, Aitoloakarnania, his parents had a Pontian origin. He studied Economics at the Higher Industrial School of Piraeus - today's University of Piraeus - and participated in the Board of Student Association.
He started his insurance business, as an Insurance Consultant at Nationale Nederlanden. In 1990 he founded the Agency "Insurance Chatzitheodosiou" and in 1998 the Company MEGA Insurance Ltd., which in 2006 acquired its final form as MEGA BROKERS SA, the largest Insurance brokerage company in the last 12 years, and in which he is President and CEO until today. In addition, he has been a Member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Insurance Mediators of Greece (EADE).
In 1990 he was elected Municipal Councilor and President of the Municipal Council of Agia Varvara, a position in which he was re-elected in 1994, while from 1993 to 1996 he was President of the Prefectural Hospital of West Attica (formerly Infectious).
His institutional career in the Union of Hellenic Chambers of Commerce began in 2018 with his election as Vice President of the body, while from August 2021 he holds the position of President.
At the Athens Chamber of Tradesmen, he was elected for the first time as Member of the Board of Directors in 2001, while in the period 2012-2014 he was the General Secretary of the Chamber EEA and President of Hermes Civil Society of EEA.
He has been elected President of the Athens Chamber of Tradesmen since 2014, a position that he still holds today, after his re-election in 2017.
Appointed Vice President of OPEMED (Organization for the Promotion of Alternative Dispute Resolution Methods), by the current Vice President of the Government, Mr. Pikramenos,
He is Vice President of the Regional Council of the Chambers of Attica and Honorary Member of the Board of the International Chamber (ICC).
He is also Member of the Economic Chamber of Greece, Member of the Board of ELANET (Managing Authority of ESPA Attica Programs) and final Board Member of EESYM (Hellenic Chambers & Business Transport Association).
He is married with Chrysanthi Tsichli and he has two children, Tasos and Ioanna.
