Dr. Eri Toka is a Mechanical Engineer and Head of the Technology Transfer Office at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. She has also served as the General Director of the Greek Association of Supply Chain Management (GASCM, 2012-2015), while since then she is an elected Board Member of GASCM.
Furthermore, she has worked for many years as a senior researcher at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of AUTH), Greece. Her doctoral thesis is on Industrial Management. Her research interests and expertise include technology marketing & innovation, diffussion of innovation, public policy-making, decision-making systems, supply chain management, demand and supply management of technology products. Dr. Toka was awarded as the Best Young Researcher on Biomass at World Sustainable Energy Days 2015 (February 2015, Wels, Austria) for the development of an innovative policy framework for the diffusion of biomass technologies in the residential sector. Dr. Toka was awarded a Ph.D. thesis scholarship (HRAKLEITOS II) by the Greek Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs, Culture and Sports in 2010. She has participated in many research projects of the Laboratory of Supply Chain Management (AUTH), while she has also been involved as a post-doc researcher in the FP7 REGPOT Project: GREEN-AgriChains. She has published extensively her research in top peer reviewed journals, scientific books and refereed conference proceedings, as well as in Greek periodical magazines. She has been primary instructor at the Department of Logistics of the Alexander Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki and at the Technological Institute of Central Macedonia, while she has also served as teaching assistant at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of AUTH for many years.
