Anastasios Sidiropoulos (Mr.) is the Transition Development Director at ANKO Western Macedonia S.A./Organization for Local Development. He has worked as coordinator in different EU programmes and initiatives since 1990 and has participated in various management bodies and regional structures. He is an active member in the Regional Working Team regarding the roadmap of Western Macedonia Region’s transition process along to a post-lignite era and specifically worked for Just Transition and the role of flagship investments. He is member of the Management Body of the Cluster of Bioeconomy and Environment (CLuBE) of Western Macedonia Region, member of the Consolidation Committee of the Western Macedonia Region, member of the Energy Committee of the Eordaia Municipality and member of the Monitoring Committee of the Operational Programme of Western Macedonia Region 2014-2020. During the last decade, he has acted as coordinator or project manager in EU programmes (INTERREG EUROPE, INTERREG MED etc.) in the field of entrepreneurship, energy and regional development. He holds a degree in Economics specialized in micro-economy and has long term experience in feasibility studies, cost-benefit analysis and input-output analysis at regional level. He has participated as a teacher in Organization-Administration and Entrepreneurship courses at various levels of education and has published a number of articles regarding economy and regional development. He speaks English and Greek.
